At The Esplanade, we know that dogs are part of the family. It’s hard to leave your four-legged friend behind, which is why we’re proud to welcome well-behaved dogs to stay with us. With comfortable dog-friendly rooms and thoughtful little touches, your pooch can enjoy a seaside holiday as much as you do.

Home comforts

We have a selection of dog-friendly rooms, many with easy outside access, and every stay comes with a dog bed and dog bowl for your furry friend’s comfort. There is a small charge of just £15 per dog per night.

Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant, but there’s plenty of space outside and in your room for them to relax after a day on the beach. Just let us know in advance if you’re bringing your dog so we can make sure everything is ready for their stay.

Explore Cornwall together

Cornwall’s beaches and countryside are perfect for dog-friendly adventures. Many beaches welcome dogs all year round, but it’s worth checking ahead.

Permitted all year:

Crantock Beach, Gannel Estuary, Fistral Beach, Little Fistral, Harbour Beach, Towan Beach, Lusty Glaze, Whipsiderry Beach, Watergate Bay, Great Western Beach.

Seasonal restrictions

• Porth Beach: Dogs not allowed on the beach 1st July – 31stAug, 10am–6pm.
• Tolcarne Beach: Dogs not allowed on the beach 1st May – 1st October.

Dogs are also welcome along all 630 miles of the South West Coast Path. If the path crosses a beach with a dog ban, stick to the safe alternative routes.

Service dogs and assistance animals

The Esplanade recognises the rights of guests with service or assistance dogs under The Equality Act 2010. We welcome all highly trained service dogs and make reasonable adjustments to accommodate their needs. Emotional support animals (ESAs) are also limited to our pet-friendly accommodation.
